P address of mpx100’s management port may confuse
Command View EVA
When an mpx100 m
anagement port’s IP address is configured using DHCP, Command View EVA
initially discovers the mpx100. However, Command View EVA doesn’t rediscover the management port
IP address of the mpx100 when another new IP address is assigned by DHCP.
Workaround
When you configure an mpx100 management port, only select the static IP address option.
mpx100 and CH
AP security with Linux
The CHAP setu
p with the Linux iSCSI initiator 3.6.3 is not supported with the mpx100. The Linux iSCSI
driver omits CHAP security negotiations at login.
Workaround
The CHAP setup will be resolved in a future release of the Linux initiator.
Windows dro
ps the IP connection
Certain I/O workloads can result in LUN removal because the Windows operating system has dropped
the IP conne
ction.
Workaround
The connection can be restored by rebooting the system. Select one of the following options to avoid
dropped connections:
• Reduce the I/O workload
• Use a smaller application transfer size
