HP StorageWorks EVA iSCSI Connectivity Option 3.0 Release Notes (5697-6148, October 2006)

Workaround
Make the change to the registry, or cut and paste the
following lines to a text file named tcp1323opts.reg.
tcp1323opts
.reg.
:
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_
MACHINE\SYSTEM\Current-
ControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters]
"Tcp1323Opts"=dword:00000002
Double-click the file to add changes to the registry for the iSCSI initiator.
CAUTION:
Using the Regi
stry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that can require reinstallation of
the operating
system. Back up the registry before making any changes. Use the Registry Editor at
your own risk.
Command View EVA
This section describes important Command View EVA information.
Command View EVA refresh
Command View EVA refresh interval can affect controller property field information.
Workaround
To ensure that you retain iSCSI controller property field information in Command View EVA, do one
of the following:
Enter a portion of the data between page refreshes, and click Save to store the information.
Enter the rest of the data and click Save.
Change the refresh interval for the entire GUI to a larger value in Agent Options > User
Interface. The default value for the content pane is 60 seconds.
iSCSI host entry in Command View EVA must be refreshed with new WWPNs after an
mpx100 FRU replacement
The mpx100 FC port WWPNs are presented LUNs, much like any other FC host, by Command View via
the iSCSI host entry under the Command View EVA hosts folder. If an mpx100 is replaced, the iSCSI
host entry must contain the WWPNs of the replacement to continue LUN presentation.
Workaround
Once a new mpx100 has been installed and restored with the full configuration of the replaced
mpx100, start Command View and click the Refresh button in the properties page of the iSCSI Controller
under iSCSI devices. This will add the new mpx100 Fibre Channel port’s WWPNs to the existing
iSCSI host entry.
