What’s in this Version

The following pages describe the HP FDDI/9000 PCI products A3739A

and A3739B for A-Class servers and B, C and J-Class workstations.

NOTE There is also a version of this software that runs on the HP-UX 11.0

operating system. It is designed to support PCI-based A-Class, L-Class,

N-Class and V-Class servers as well as B-Class, C-Class and J-Class

workstations.

Beneﬁts

HP PCI FDDI/9000 is a high-performance FDDI networking solution for

HP A-Class servers and B, C and J-Class workstations running the

HP-UX 10.20 operating system. HP PCI FDDI/9000 provides the

physical and data-link services as deﬁned by the ANSI X3T9.5

speciﬁcations for FDDI and is supported over the TCP/IP network

protocol stack.

HP PCI FDDI/9000 supports ANSI speciﬁcations for high-performance

FDDI networking using ﬁber optic media via a dual-attach connection.

The connectors are SC duplex-style keyed connectors. The card supports

dual homing, MP Scalability, SMT 7.3, DLPI, SAM, and Optical-bypass

relay.
