What’s in This Release Note

This release note contains information pertaining to the 11.23.03 version of the FibrChanl-00 (td) Fibre

Channel Mass Storage driver provided with HP-UX 11.00 and 11i v1.0, 11i v1.6 and 11i v2. The td driver

supports Fibre Channel products such as:

• A6795A PCI Tachyon XL2 Adapter Card

• A6684A HSC-eff Tachlite Fibre Channel Adapter

• A6685A HSC Tachlite Fibre Channel Adapter

NOTE The A5158A PCI Tachlite Adapter Card is not supported on PA platforms using HP-UX 11iv2

at this time. Please check JAGaf38985 (SR 8606378727) for updates at http://www.itrc.hp.com.

HBAs Not Supported in 11i v2

The following Fibre Channel products are not supported on HP-UX 11i v2:

• A6684A HSC-eff Tachlite Fibre Channel Adapter

• A6685A HSC Tachlite Fibre Channel Adapter

Compatibility Information and Installation Requirements

Software Requirements

The following software (or later versions) must be installed before installing A5158A or A6795A HBAs into a

system:

• FibrChanl-00 (td) version B.11.23.03 for HP-UX 11i v2 Update 2

• Fibre Channel Mass Storage (FCMS) Patch PHKL_23939 or later (only for HP-UX 11.00)

• Fibre Channel Mass Storage (FCMS) Patch PHKL_23626 or later (only for HP-UX 11i v1)
