FibrChanl-02 (fclp) B.11.31.1003.02 Fibre Channel Mass Storage Driver Release Notes, Edition 2.0 (March 2010)

NOTE: FibrChanl-02 on HP-UX 11i v3 is supported with VxVM 5.0 or later, including boot and
Ignite/UX.
Operating system and version compatibility
The March 2010 update of HP-UX 11i v3 (B.11.31.1003.02) must be installed for all supported
Emulex-based Fibre Channel cards.
The following software (or later versions) must be installed before installing the FibrChanl-02
(fclp) driver, version B.11.31.1003.02, into a system:
• HP-UX CommonIO 11.31.1003 (B.11.31.1003)
• HP-UX 11.31 Support Tools Bundle, March 2008 (OnlineDiag), version B.11.31.03.06
NOTE: The FC-COMMON.FC-SNIA fileset is part of the CommonIO bundle. If
FC-COMMON.FC-SNIA (1003 or later) is not present on a system, swinstall of the
FC-FCLP product will display errors. If you ignore the errors and proceed with the
swinstall, the FC-FCLP.FC-FCLP-RUN fileset will not be installed.
The following patch is required only if your system is missing the March 2008 HP-UX 11.31

To boot through the fibre channel ports on these adapters, HP recommends that you update the
EFI driver and onboard firmware to the latest version. The following table lists the recommended
EFI and firmware versions at the release of FibrChanl-02 (fclp) driver, version B.11.31.1003.02:
