Known problems and limitations
This section provides a list of known problems and limitations as known to HP at time of publication.
If workarounds are available, they are included.
Fcocutil shows previous topology as uninitialized
fcocutil shows previous topology as uninitialized when the physical link to external switch is
disabled/ unplugged. This issue is seen only when Emulex CNA mezzanine card is connected
to FCoE Brocade switch or FCoE Cisco Nexus D40 through HP VC FlexFabric 10Gb/24-Port
Module.
VFC deletion time
While executing “hpvmstop command the time taken to delete a single Integrity VM VFC
depends on total number of targets mapped to the VFC. Each target node port deletion takes
approximately 2 seconds. The greater the number of targets, the higher the time taken for
total target deletion.
Incorrect speed display
With vPars and Integrity VM 6.2 and earlier, if vPar or a VM Guest is configured with NPIV
VFCs on a 16Gb adapter, the FC Provider enumeration of NPIV VFC ports within the vPar or
VM guest will display “MaxSpeed” and “Speed” values as 0.
This issue is seen on vPars and Integrity VM versions 6.2 or earlier.
FCoE Boot from SAN failure
Boot from SAN intermittently fails during EFI bootstrap of a FCoE device that is busy
(QXCR1001236772). The workaround is to repeat the boot process by resetting the system.
This problem has been solved in firmware version 4.1.450.6301 or later.
FlexFabric and Converged Network Adapters Must Be Disconnected From All Boot Devices
Before Flashing Latest Firmware
Integrity FlexFabric and Converged Network Adapters must be updated offline to firmware
version 3.704.356.3 for 613431-B21 and AT111A and firmware version 2.704.356.3 for
580151-B21 or later before putting in use. Additionally, the user must unload the FCOC UEFI
driver prior to performing the firmware update or the system may crash.
