HP Fibre Channel Mass Storage Adapters Support Guide FibrChanl-03 (fcoc) Driver HP-UX 11i v3
3 Troubleshooting and Maintenance
Introduction
Troubleshooting Fibre Channel problems can involve a variety of hardware and software
components. A problem affecting the system may originate in another part of the Fibre Channel
Mass Storage interconnect. If you cannot solve the problem on your own, contact your HP
representative.

Event Monitoring Service
Event Monitoring Service (EMS) notifies you when an event occurs on the system.
A hardware event monitor monitors the hardware for unusual behavior (known as an event) and
sends a message to the EMS, which notifies you of the event and provides suggestions for correcting
the problem. This service is available for all of the Fibre Channel host bus adapters.
