Installing the HP PCI Tachyon TL/TS/XL2 Fibre Channel Driver

To install the FibrChanl-00 HP PCI Tachyon TL/TS/XL2 Fibre Channel driver on an HP-UX 11i v3 system, complete the

following steps:

Step 1. Log in to the HP-UX 11i v3 system as superuser.

Step 2. Download the HP-UX 11i v3 depot in the /tmp directory on your system.

Step 3. Verify whether the HP-UX 11i v3 depot is downloaded successfully.

To verify whether the HP-UX 11i v3 depot is downloaded successfully, enter the following command at the

HP-UX prompt:

# swlist -d @ /tmp/<11.31_depot>

The following information is displayed:

FibrChanl-00 B.11.31 FibreChannel; HW=A6795A, A5158A

Step 4. To install the HP Tachyon TL/TS/XL2 Fibre Channel driver on the HP-UX 11i v3 system, enter the

following command at the HP-UX prompt:

# swinstall -x autoreboot=true -s /tmp/<11.31_depot> FibrChanl-00

The following message is displayed:
