reset asset-info
Use reset asset-info to clear the asset profile of a physical component, such as, the chassis, a card, a fan,
or a power supply.
Syntax
In standalone mode:
reset asset-info { chassis | fan fan-id | power power-id | slot slot-number } [ csn | custom | department
| description | location | service-date | state ]
In IRF mode:
reset asset-info chassis chassis-number { chassis | fan fan-id | power power-id | slot slot-number } [ csn
| custom| department | description | location | service-date | state ]

Parameters
chassis: Clears the asset profile of the chassis.
fan fan-id: Clears the asset profile of the specified fan.
power power-id: Clears the asset profile of the specified power supply.
slot slot-number: Clears the asset profile of the card in the specified slot.
csn: Clears user asset ID.
custom: Clears the customized asset profile.
department: Clears the department name in the asset profile.
description: Clears the description in the asset profile.
location: Clears the location in the asset profile
service-date: Clears the service start date in the asset profile.
state: Clears the usage state in the asset profile
chassis chassis-number: Clears the asset profiles on the specified IRF member device. The chassis-number
argument represents the IRF member ID of the switch. (In IRF mode)
NOTE:
W
hen you use this command to clear the asset profile of a specific power supply, only the csn keyword is
supported.
Usage guidelines
To clear an item in the asset profile of the chassis, a fan or a power supply, for example, asset ID or asset
description, use the corresponding keyword in the command. If no corresponding keywords are
specified, this command clears all asset profiles.
