• Creating or deleting the MEPs on a port.

An MA with no VLAN attribute is mainly used to detect direct link status. It cannot generate MIPs.

For an MA with VLAN attribute, if the same or higher level MEP exists on the interface, no MIP is

generated for the MA on the interface.

Configuring CC on MEPs

Configure CC before configuring other CFD functions. After the CC function is configured, MEPs in an

MA can periodically send CCM frames to maintain connectivity. When the lifetime of a CCM frame

expires, the link to the sending MEP is considered disconnected. When setting the CCM interval, use the

settings described in Table 5.

When you configure CC on a MEP, configure the same CCM interval field value for all MEPs in the same

MA.

This Switch Series does not support an interval field value in the range of 1 to 3. If you configure the

interval field value as 1, 2, or 3, the value 4 takes effect.
