Parameters
vlan-interface-id: Specifies a VLAN interface number. If you do not specify this argument, this command
displays information about all VLAN interfaces.
brief: Displays brief interface information. If you do not specify this keyword, the command displays
detailed interface information.
description: Displays the full description of the specified interface. If the keyword is not specified, the
command displays at most the first 27 characters of the interface description. If the keyword is specified,
the command displays all characters of the interface description.

Field Description
Vlan-interface2 current state
Physical state of a VLAN interface:
• DOWN ( Administratively )—The administrative state of the
VLAN interface is down, because it has been shut down with the
shutdown command.
• DOWN—The administrative state of the VLAN interface is up,
but its physical state is down. The VLAN that corresponds to this
interface does not contain any physical port in the UP state
(possibly because the ports are not well connected or the lines
have failed).
• UP—Both the administrative state and the physical state of the
VLAN interface are up.
