This chapter describes only VPLS configurations on a PE. For more information about other configurations,
see specific configuration guides.
To configure VPLS on a PE, perform the following tasks:

You must enable L2VPN so the PE can support MPLS L2VPN.

Configuring an AC
An AC is a service instance on a Layer 2 Ethernet interface that connects to a CE.
After you configure a service instance on a Layer 2 Ethernet port, the Layer 2 Ethernet port uses the
service instance to match received packets.
