Temporarily Disabling a Port
To temporarily disable a port without changing its stored configuration attributes, enter the
following command at any prompt:
Because this configuration sets a temporary state for the port, you do not need to use apply or
save. The port state will revert to its original configuration when the switch is reset. See the
“Operations Menu” on page 379 for other operations-level commands.
/cfg/port <port number>/gig

mode - Set full or half duplex mode
fctl - Set flow control
auto - Set autonegotiation
cur - Display current gig link configuration

Command Syntax and Usage
speed 10|100|1000|10000|any
Sets the link speed. Some options are not valid on all ports. The choices include:
10 Mbps
100 Mbps
1000 Mbps
10000 Mps
any (auto negotiate port speed)
mode full|half|any
Sets the operating mode. Some options are not valid on all ports. The choices include:
Full-duplex
Half-duplex
“Any,” for auto negotiation (default)
