Command Syntax and Usage
ip ospf area <0-2>
Configures the OSPF area index.
Command mode: Interface IP
ip ospf priority <0-255>
Configures the priority value for the switch’s OSPF interfaces.
A priority value of 255 is the highest and 1 is the lowest. A priority value of 0 specifies that
the interface cannot be used as Designated Router (DR) or Backup Designated Router (BDR).
Command mode: Interface IP
ip ospf cost <1-65535>
Configures cost set for the selected path—preferred or backup. Usually the cost is inversely
proportional to the bandwidth of the interface. Low cost indicates high bandwidth.
Command mode: Interface IP
ip ospf hello-interval <1-65535>
ip ospf hello-interval <1-65535ms>
Configures the interval, in seconds or milliseconds, between the hello packets for the
interfaces.
Command mode: Interface IP
ip ospf dead-interval <1-65535>
ip ospf dead-interval <1-65535ms>
Configures the health parameters of a hello packet, in seconds or milliseconds, before
declaring a silent router to be down.
Command mode: Interface IP
ip ospf transit-delay <1-3600>
Configures the transit delay in seconds.
Command mode: Interface IP
