ATM Configuration and Troubleshooting Guide
Configuring EMS High Availability over ATM
Configuring EMS HA-ATM for Remote Recovery (Using MC/ServiceGuard)
Chapter 6 131
Each of these ways is described in the following sections.
Editing the MC/ServiceGuard File
To manually edit the MC/ServiceGuard package configuration file
(/etc/cmcluster/
package_name
/
package_configuration_file
),
follow these steps:
Step 1. Using an editor of your choice (for example, vi), add the following line to
the /etc/cmcluster/
package_name
/
package_configuration_file
file:
RESOURCE_NAME
/net/interfaces/switched/atm/ELAN_interface_name
Note that you must specify the same resource name on all of the systems
you want to participate in remote recovery.
Also, multiple packages can use the same RESOURCE_NAME.
Step 2. Still within the configuration file, add the following line:
RESOURCE_UP_VALUE != DOWN
Step 3. Save the file and exit the editor.
Step 4. Use the cmapplyconf command to modify the cluster configuration.
Step 5. Go to “Verifying the Remote Recovery Configuration” on page 133.
Using SAM
To use SAM to specify the ELAN interface resource as a package
resource dependency, follow these steps:
Step 1. Log in as root.
Step 2. Type sam to start SAM.
Step 3. Select “Clusters”.
Step 4. Select “High Availability Clusters”.
Step 5. Select “Package Configuration”.
Step 6. Select Modify Package.
This opens the “Modify Package Configuration” window.
