ATM Configuration and Troubleshooting Guide

Configuring EMS High Availability over ATM
Configuring EMS HA-ATM for Remote Recovery (Using MC/ServiceGuard)
Chapter 6132
Step 7. Select the Modify Package Resource Dependencies... button.
This opens the “Package Resource Dependencies” window.
Step 8. Select the Add Resource... button.
Step 9. Step through the hierarchy of classes until you get to the appropriate
class level. To do this, in the “Resource classes” list, select the following
items, in this order:
a. net
b. interfaces
c. switched
d. atm
This opens the “Resource Parameters” window.
Note that you must specify the same resource name on all of the systems
you want to participate in remote recovery.
Also, multiple packages can use the same resource name.
Step 10. In the “Resource Up Values” list, ensure that UP is the only value listed.
If UP isn’t listed in “Resource Up Values,” move it from the “Available
Resource Values” list to “Resource Up Values.
Step 11. Select the OK button until you can exit SAM.
Note that when you specify an ELAN interface resource as a package
resource dependency, the monitoring daemon (hatmmon) is automatically
started for that interface. The daemon continues to run as long as the
MC/ServiceGuard cluster is running. If you remove an ELAN interface
as a package resource dependency, the hatmmon daemon for that ELAN
interface stops running 60 minutes later (unless you use the kill -15
command to stop the daemon before the 60 minutes elapse).
Step 12. Go to the next section, “Verifying the Remote Recovery Configuration”.
