the local system, on the switch, and on the remote system, ping will open
an SVC to the destination. To check that ping is operating over the PVC
use this command:
atmmgr card_inst_num show -v
If the PVC was not correctly configured, the atmmgr show -v command
will show that an SVC has been opened to your destination. In this case,
you must correct the PVC configuration.
E Verify local system’s PVC configuration (ping has reported an
error). Using SAM, check that the PVC has been configured correctly
on the local system. Alternatively, use the command
atmmgr card_inst_num show -v to display all the PVCs for the ATM
adapter. See the atmmgr(1) man page for more details.
F Use SAM to reconfigure the PVC. If the local configuration is not
correct, use SAM to add or modify the PVC and return to the start of the
flowchart. Ensure that the type of traffic parameters configured are
compatible with those available at the remote destination system.
