You can use the command netstat -rn to display the configured routes
on the local system. Shown below is the ouput of this command on
host51:
host51:> netstat -rn

At this point, you should be able to ping the destination system. If you
cannot do it and you know the LAN Emulation interfaces are properly
configured and operational, you have a problem in the network routing
configuration. Verify the routing tables on both source and destination
systems and make sure the routers along the way are properly
configured. See the routers’ documentation for instructions on how to
configure them and check their status.
Failure to get the two end systems (the local system and the destination
system) to communicate at this point is still outside the scope of an
MPOA problem. You should use traditional IP diagnostics tools to check
your network configuration.
You can, for example, use the command traceroute to determine the
hops followed by the data to reach the destination. Running traceroute
from both end systems should help you validate that you are using the
intended interfaces and routers along the way. It can also show you
where the problem occurs along the way.
D Check the MPOA VCs. Ensure that the volume of traffic is sufficient to
constitute a flow (according to MPOA criteria) between the local system
(an ATM host) and an MPOA-capable destination system (another
MPOA-capable ATM-connected host or a legacy-LAN system located
behind an MPOA-capable edge device). If the volume is sufficient, run
the atmmgr command to display the VCs created on the local adapter and
