✓ After you have installed the new ATM software, both the new
software bundle and the previous bundle are present. Do not remove
the previous bundle, because it is not an empty bundle.
EXCEPTION: If you are installing one of new the HP-PCI software
products—A5483A, A5513A, A5515A, or J3572BA—on a system that
currently has the earlier J3572AA software installed, the contents
are rolled to the new software product. Then, you can remove the old
J3572AA bundle because it is empty.
✓ If you want to remove the ATM software from the system, remove
both bundles (the new one and the previous one). Doing this removes
the ATM software from the system correctly, and you can ignore any
errors generated in swagent.log.

How to Install the Software
The J2805BA, J2806CA, and J3572BA ATM link software products can
no longer be ordered—when you purchase one of the ATM adapters, the
corresponding ATM software and its documentation are included. When
you run swinstall to install the ATM software, you will see “new”
software products that have the same names as the ATM adapter
product numbers (for example, A5483A). However, you also will see
software products that have the “old” software product numbers
(J2805BA, J2806CA, and J3572BA). Table 2-1 and 2-2 below show the
ATM adapters and the applicable “new” and “old” software numbers for
each adapter (previously discontinued adapters are not shown).
