Your HP ATM adapter can run one Classical IP interface as well as up to
32 emulated LAN interfaces. You can configure the ATM adapter to
operate in a Classical IP over ATM network as one of these components:
• Classical IP ATM ARP Server
• Classical IP ATM ARP Client
NOTE You can configure only one Classical IP ATM ARP Server per Logical
IP Subnet (LIS). In a given system, the adapters can be configured in
any mix of Classical IP ATM ARP Servers and Clients (that is, all
Clients, all Servers, or a mix) and each adapter must belong to a
different IP subnet.
