Verifying That the Classical IP Interface is

Operational

To verify that the CIP interface is operational, follow these steps:

Step 1. Use the command ping

IP_address

or ping

hostname

towards another

operational ATM system to verify that the Classical IP interface is

working correctly.

Step 2. You can perform further veriﬁcation using the information in Chapter 9,

“Troubleshooting,” on page 175.
