Compatibility Information and Installation Requirements
This section describes the requirements for installing A6748A and A6749A PCI MUX
products on HP-UX 11i v3.
Software Requirements
You must have installed the HP-UX 11i v3 operating system before installing this product. To
install this product, use the swinstall command.
Hardware Requirements
Table 1-2 lists the platforms that support A6748A/A6749A PCI MUX serial adapters.
Disk Space
The disk space required is 800 KB.
Installation Information
Consider the following points while installing the A6748A and A6749A PCI MUX product:
• You must install the PCI MUX hardware when the system is down.
• You must install the PCI MUX driver software before installing the MUX cards, to avoid a
second reboot.
