• The kernel dynamically assigns the major number for PCI MUX when you install the PCI
Mux driver.
This major number can differ from system to system. However, once a major number is
assigned, it remains unchanged across reboots until the driver is removed. You can
determine the major number by entering the following command:
lsdev -d pci_mux0
(pci_mux0 is the driver name of the PCI MUX.)
