1 Announcement This document describes features, limitations, and known issues of the HP Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) Multiplexer (MUX) product. The AD278A/AD279A PCI MUX product is compliant with Restriction of Hazardous Substance (RoHS) standard. The AD278A/AD279A PCI MUX is a high-speed serial communication multiple port product.
Known Problems pmux_diag/pmux_stty loop back test may not respond, if a terminal is connected to a pci_mux1 port and pmux_diag/pmux_stty loop back test is run from that terminal on the same pci_mux1 port. Workaround HP recommends customers NOT to run pmux_diag/pmux_stty loop back tests on a pci_mux1 port if the pmux_diag/pmux_stty itself is running on a terminal that uses the same pci_mux1 port. Limitations Table 1-1 lists the slot limitations of AD278A PCI MUX 8-port adapter.
Table 1-3 Defects Fixed Defect IDs Defect Description QXCR1000901487 Incorrect 'what' strings for pci_mux1 B.11.31.0806 release. Description 'What' on /usr/conf/mod/pci_mux1 was displaying incorrect string. Fix pci_mux1 has been modified to display the correct 'What' string for 0909 release. QXCR1000775017 pmux_stty(1) reports the status of unsupported driver options.
