• The kernel dynamically assigns the major number for the PCI MUX when you install the

AD278A/AD279A PCI MUX driver.

• This major number can differ from system to system. However, once a major number is

assigned, it remains unchanged across reboots until the driver is removed. To find the major

number, run the following command at the command prompt:

$ lsdev -d pci_mux1

The name of the AD278A/AD279A PCI MUX adapter driver is pci_mux1. For more
