Defects Fixed in This Release
This section discusses the defects fixed in this release. Following are the defects fixed in this
release:
• Read and write functions return unexpected error values:
In the previous release, when Data Connection Detect (DCD) signal goes down for a
connection, the write function does not return the expected End of I/O (EIO) error value and
the read function does not return the expected End of File (EOF) error value.
This defect is fixed in the current release. With this fix, the read() and write() functions return
the expected error value when DCD signal goes down for a connection.
• Read function returns unexpected error value EAGAIN instead of zero:
In the previous release, the read() function returns unexpected error value, EAGAIN, if the
following conditions are true:
— No data is available from TermIO serial ports for the read() routine
— The TermIO O_NONBLOCK flag is set to clear and O_NDELAY flag is set
This defect is fixed in the current release. With this fix, the read() function executes
successfully and returns zero.
