1 Announcement This document describes features, limitations, and known issues of the HP Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) Multiplexer (MUX) product. The AD278A/AD279A PCI MUX product is compliant with Restriction of Hazardous Substance (RoHS) standard. The AD278A/AD279A PCI MUX is a high-speed serial communication multiple port product.

Table 1-4 Defects Fixed in the HP-UX 11i v2 OS Defect IDs Defect Description Defect fixes in B.11.23.1009 Release QXCR1001062160 The open system call on a pci_mux1 device does not set the Data Terminal Ready (DTR) Signal on the RS232 serial port. This defect is fixed in the current release. QXCR1001069179 The select system call fails to return writable pci_mux1 device files. The pci_mux1 driver is modified to fix this defect.

Software Requirements The AD278A/AD279A PCI MUX serial adapters are supported on HP-UX 11i v1 (B.11.11), HP-UX 11i v2 (B.11.23), and HP-UX 11i v3 (B.11.31) operating systems. Disk Space Requirement The disk space required is 1.5 MB.
