3 Choose the slot you are going to use for each ATM adapter.

You can install up to 4 ATM adapters on an HSC I/O card as follows:

• up to 4 ATM 155 Mbit/s adapters

• up to 2 ATM 622 Mbit/s adapters with each adapter in a separate module,

(the remaining slots can be used for ATM 155 Mbit/s adapters if required)

4 Remove the protective dust cap on the sockets of the ATM adapter.

Caution Wear the ESD wrist strap connected to the T600 system when handling the ATM

adapter. Observe all normal anti-static precautions. See the documentation supplied

with the system for more information.

5 Install the ATM adapter in your system, referring to the installation of PMB

cards given in the HP 3000 Corporate Business Systems and HP 9000

Corporate Business Servers Installation Guide, HP Part No. A1809-90001.

6 If you are connecting to an ATM switch, consult your switch documentation.
