Multiple HP MUX Card Installations
The number and type of cards that can be installed in any system is
system dependent. When this manual was written, the following
restrictions applied:
• For D-Class systems, only one PCI MUX 8-port card can be installed
due to a limitation of the 12 volt power supply.
• For all other systems, there is a maximum limit of four PCI MUX
8-port cards per system. If there are also PCI MUX 64-port cards in
the same system, the maximum number of PCI MUX 8-port cards is
reduced by one for each PCI MUX 64-port card in the system. For
example, if there is one PCI MUX 64-port card in a system, the
maximum number of PCI MUX 8-port cards would be three.
• For V-Class systems, only one PCI MUX 64-port card is supported.
