This document contains information about GigEther-01 (igelan) Gigabit Ethernet Driver supported
on HP-UX 11i v2 and HP-UX 11i v3 during the release in July 2013 and an updated version in
March 2014. Table 1 (page 5) lists the product version for which the document is applicable.

What is new in this release
The following information describes about the updates to HP-UX based Gigabit Ethernet driver
called igelan. GigEther-01 software bundle, which is loaded into the operating environment (OE),
contains igelan driver.
The earlier release of this product in July 2013, which is a version of HP-UX 11i v3 GigEther-01
software bundle contained defect fixing activities during that release. For more information on the
defect fixes in the mentioned release, see Table 2 (page 5).

Outbound statistics counters as displayed by lanadmin or
nwmgr commands are not incremental at random, even when

there is an outbound traffic. Also, it is observed that the port
reset is not resetting the same counters to zero. This problem
is seen with B.11.31.1112 driver version.

Assert panic is happening in IGELAN when HPVM guest is
running on a HP-UX debug kernel. This problem occurs with
GigEther-01 B.11.31.1103.
