HP ProLiant Cluster HA/F500 for
MA8000 Basic Configuration
This poster illustrates the basic HA/F500 cluster configurations
with the following hardware components:
HP ProLiant servers (supported servers can be found at
www.hp.com/servers/proliant/highavailability)
HP StorageWorks storage subsystem RA8000/MA8000/
ESA12000/ESA16000
64-bit/33-MHz PCI to Fibre Channel (KGPSA-CB) or FCA
2101 (LP952) host bus adapters (HBAs)
Single Fibre Channel SAN Switch 8/8-EL or 16/16-EL
Dedicated Ethernet interconnect between the ProLiant
servers (not pictured)
Single or dual HSG80 controllers (storage controllers) in the
storage subsystem
IMPORTANT: The interconnect and LAN cabling are not illustrated
in this poster because of the variety of possible slot, NIC, and
cabling configurations.
NOTE: Your storage subsystem may look slightly different than the
one shown on this poster, but the storage controller connections are
the same.
