sysname
Use sysname to set the device name.
Use undo sysname to restore the default.
Syntax
sysname sysname
undo sysname
Default
The default name is HP.

sysname: Name of the device, a string of 1 to 30 characters.
Usage guidelines
A device name identifies a device in a network and works as the user view prompt at the CLI. For
example, if the device name is Sysname, the user view prompt is <Sysname>.
Examples
# Set the name of the device to R2000.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] sysname R2000
[R2000]

Use system-failure to configure the exception handling method.

On an 6604, 6608, or 6616:

Use undo system-failure to restore the default.

Default
