• CPOS 155 Mbps (E1/T1)—Supports E1 mode and T1 mode. When this interface card operates in
E1 mode, its interfaces can receive, send, and process E1 data flows, provide CE1 access, and
implement ISDN PRI functions. When this interface card operates in T1 mode, its interfaces can
receive, send, and process T1 data flows, provide CT1 access, and implement ISDN PRI functions.
• CPOS 155 Mbps (E3/T3)—Supports E3/T3/POS switch. When this interface card operates in E3
mode, all the interfaces on this interface card can receive, send and process E3 high speed data
flows, and provide E3 access at a speed of 34.368 Mbps. When this interface card operates in T3
mode, all the interfaces on this interface card can receive, send and process T3 high speed data
flows, and provide T3 access at a speed of 44.736 Mbps. When this interface card operates in
POS mode, all the interfaces on the interface card operate as the POS interfaces.
• E-CPOS—Supports E-CPOS. When the interface card operates in E-CPOS mode, all the interfaces
on the interface card work as the E-CPOS interfaces.
• POS 155 Mbps/622 Mbps—Supports switch between OC-3c/STM-1c and OC-12c/STM-4c modes.
When the interface card operates in OC-3c/STM-1c mode, the receive and transmit rate of all the
interfaces on the interface card is 155 Mbps. When the interface card operates in OC-12c/STM-4c
mode, the receive and transmit rate of all the available interfaces on this interface card is 622 Mbps
(when the interface card changes to OC-12c/STM-4c mode, only the interfaces with the silkscreen
"SPF 622M" are available).
You must restart the device or hot swap the interface card (if the interface card supports hot swapping)
to make the newly operating mode take effect.
To configure the operating mode of an interface card on an 6602:
Ste
p
Command
Remarks
1. Enter system view.
system-view N/A
2. Set the operating
mode of an interface
card.
card-mode slot
slot-number
mode-name
Optional.
The mode-name argument might take the value of e, t, e1, t1,
e3, t3, pos, e-cpos, oc-3, oc-12, ipsec, ssl, atm, auto, or efm,
but the actual value depends on the interface card type.
The default settings of this command depend on your device
model.
To configure the operating mode of an interface card on an HSR6602, 6604, 6608, or 6616:

Clearing unused 16-bit interface indexes
The device must maintain persistent 16-bit interface indexes and keep one interface index match one
interface name for network management. After deleting a logical interface, the device retains its 16-bit
interface index so the same index can be assigned to the interface at interface re-creation.
