When you are setting this upper limit, if the total number of the entries exceeds the value that you set, the
system informs you to remove excessive entries. In this case, the system does not automatically remove
any existing entries or create new entries.
To set the maximum number of entries in the forwarding table:

Sub-VLAN-based multicast VLAN configuration example
Network requirements
As shown in Figure 112, Router A and Router B are routers installed with the SAP modules. IGMPv2 runs
on Layer 3 device Router A, and IGMPv2 snooping runs on Layer 2 device Router B. Router A acts as the
IGMP querier.
The multicast source sends multicast data to the multicast group 224.1.1.1. Host A, Host B, and Host C are
receivers. They belong to VLAN 2 through VLAN 4, respectively.
Configure the sub-VLAN-based multicast VLAN feature on Router B so that Router A just sends the
multicast data to Router B through the multicast VLAN and Router B forwards the multicast data to the
receivers in different VLANs.
