Parameters
slot slot-number: Specifies the card by its slot number to process and forward traffic for the interface.
Usage guidelines
If you do not specify a card to process and forward traffic for a Layer 3 aggregate interface whose
member ports are located on different cards, the traffic might be processed and forwarded by different
cards from time to time due to changes in the Selected ports.
If the card specified by this command is removed, the traffic will be interrupted. After the card is
re-installed, traffic forwarding is restored.
On distributed routers of the 6600 and HSR6600 series, you are not allowed to use this command to
specify the MPU to forward traffic for Layer 3 aggregate interfaces, because all traffic must be forwarded
on base cards.
