You can use this function to achieve the following purposes:
• Alleviate the processing pressure on a card and make efficient use of processing capabilities of
service cards.
• Avoid the change of processing card caused by the selected state changes of member interfaces
that are located on different cards.

Usage guidelines
Enabling/disabling an HDLC link bundle interface does not enable or disable any member interface in
the HDLC link bundle, but the operation can affect the selected state of the member interfaces. When an
HDLC link bundle interface is disabled, no member interface can be in the selected state to forward
traffic.
