The following matrix shows the command and router compatibility:

If configuration auto-update is disabled, the save [ safely ] [ backup | main ] [ force ] command and the
save filename all command save the running configuration only to the active MPU.
To ensure configuration consistency across MPUs, HP recommends enabling the function.
The save command executed with only the file-url argument saves the running configuration only to the
specified path, regardless of whether the configuration auto-update function has been enabled.

6602/HSR6602:
Use startup saved-configuration to specify the configuration file to be used at the next startup.
Use undo startup saved-configuration to configure the system to start up with factory defaults at the next
startup.
6604/6608/6616:
Use startup saved-configuration to specify the configuration file to be used at the next startup for both
active MPU and standby MPU.
Use undo startup saved-configuration to configure the active MPU and the standby MPU to start up with
the factory defaults at the next startup.
