HP HSR6602 Router Series FAQ This document contains the most frequently asked questions about the HSR6602 Router Series. Q. What models does the HP HSR6602 Router Series include? A. The HP HSR6602 Router Series includes HSR6602-G and HSR6602-XG. • An HSR6602-G router has four GE combo interfaces. • An HSR6602-XG router has four GE combo interfaces and two 10 Gbps SFP+ ports. Q. Does the router support fixed 10 Gbps ports? A. Only the HSR6602-XG router has two fixed 10 Gbps SFP+ ports. Q.
The router uses the LSWM1AC300 and the LSWM1DC3000 power supplies. The following table describes their specifications: Item LSWM1AC300 LSWM1DC3000 Rated voltage range 100 VAC to 240 VAC @ 50 Hz or 60 Hz –48 VDC to –60 VDC Maximum voltage range 90 VAC to 264 VAC @ 50 Hz or 60 Hz –40.5 VDC to –72 VDC Maximum input current 4 A @100 VAC 10 A Maximum output power 300 W 300 W Q. Can I connect two AC power supplies to different power sources? A. Yes. Q.
• For the fixed interface, the value of Y is 0. Different interfaces on the same HIM/MIM have the same sub-slot number Y. Z—Sequence number of the interface on the HIM/MIM. For each type of interface, the sequence number Z starts from 0 and is numbered from left to right on the HIM/MIM. Figure 1 HSR6602-G slot arrangement 0 1 Figure 2 HSR6602-XG slot arrangement 0 1 Q. How do I identify the card serial number or manufacturing information? A.
Q. Is the fan tray of the router hot swappable? A. Yes. Q. The fan tray LED has two states when I hot swap the fan tray. Why? A. When you hot swap the fan tray, the fan status LED on the front panel can be in one of the following states: The fan status LED changes from green to red and then back to green. • The router detects the fan speed when a fan tray is inserted. If the initial fan speed is lower than the specified threshold, the fan status LED turns red.
Q. What types of transceivers can be installed in the ports on the MPUs of the router? A. The following table describes the compatibility of transceiver types and HSR6602 models: Model SFP/LC SFP+/LC HSR6602-G Supported Not supported HSR6602-XG Supported Supported A GE port can work with a 100 Mbps transceiver to provide a port speed of 100 Mbps. Q. Can I use SFP or SFP+ transceivers from other vendors? A.
Q. Why do CRC errors occur on the ports of the router? A. If port autosensing is successful and the duplex modes on the two ends are the same, the link might fail. For example, twisted pairs, fibers, intermediate devices, and fiber-to-copper converters might fail. Q. Can I connect a 1000 Mbps transceiver to a 100 Mbps transceiver? A. You cannot directly connect a 1000 Mbps transceiver to a 100 Mbps transceiver. To do so, set the 100/1000 Mbps transceiver to operate in 100 Mbps mode. Q.
