In the MP-group approach to MP, the negotiating endpoints do not base their binding decisions on the
endpoint descriptor. The endpoint descriptors of the interfaces in an MP-group are always the same as
the MP-group interface name.
Examples
# Configure the endpoint descriptor of Serial 2/0/1 as 123 456 for LCP negotiation.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface serial 2/0/1
[Sysname-Serial2/0/1] ppp mp endpoint string 123456
ppp mp fragment enable
Use ppp mp fragment enable to enable MP fragmentation.
Use undo ppp mp fragment enable disable MP fragmentation.
Syntax
ppp mp fragment enable
undo ppp mp fragment enable
Default
MP fragmentation is enabled.
Views
Virtual template interface view, MP-group interface view
Default command level

Usage guidelines
If the peer device does not support fragment reassembly, you must configure the undo ppp mp fragment
enable command on the local device to disable MP fragmentation. This enables the two devices to
communicate. After that, outgoing packets are not fragmented, but they still carry an MP sequence
number and fragment tag.
After you configure the undo ppp mp fragment enable command on an interface, the settings configured
with the ppp mp lfi and ppp mp min-fragment commands become invalid on the interface.
Examples
# Disable MP fragmentation on interface MP-group 1.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface mp-group 1
[Sysname-Mp-group1] undo ppp mp fragment enable
ppp mp max-bind
Use ppp mp max-bind to set the maximum number of links allowed in an MP bundle.
Use undo ppp mp max-bind to restore the default.
Syntax
ppp mp max-bind max-bind-num
