Q.
Is the fan tray of the router hot swappable?
A. Yes.
Q.
The fan tray LED has two states when I hot swap the fan tray. Why?
A. When you hot swap the fan tray, the fan status LED on the front panel can be in one of the following states:
•
The fan status LED changes from green to red and then back to green.
The router detects the fan speed when a fan tray is inserted. If the initial fan speed is lower than the
specified threshold, the fan status LED turns red. When the fan speed reaches the threshold, the fan LED
turns green.

Q.
What is the airflow design for the router?
A. A fan tray is vertically located on the left side of the rear panel. The fan draws in air from the left side and
exhausts air from the right side. The fan tray supports automatic speed adjustment and hot swapping.
