Unmounting a hot-swappable card or subcard
IMPORTANT:
• Unmounting a card or subcard causes service interruption.
• You can use this feature to unmount only hot-swappable card or subcard. To install or remove a
non-hot-swappable card, you must power off the device.
To install a hot-swappable card or subcard, you only need to insert it to a slot in the device. To remove
a hot-swappable card or subcard, however, you must first unmount the card.
To unmount a hot-swappable card or subcard, execute the following command in user view:

• On an 6602:
remove slot slot-number
• On an HSR6602, 6604, 6608,

These commands apply to only
hot-swappable cards and
