Configuring the failover interface
To implement stateful failover between two devices, you need to configure the interfaces between
them as failover interfaces. These interfaces can only forward state negotiation messages and backup
data instead of service data and cannot be displayed using the display interface command.
To configure a failover interface:

Stateful failover configuration example
Network requirements
As shown Figure 55, you are required to implement stateful failover between Router A and Router B.
They both run NAT to provide IP address translation. When one device fails, the other device takes
over the services to ensure service continuity.
