Usage guidelines
After you execute this command, the device always advertises a default route with the local address as
the next hop for the specified VPN instance to the specified peer or peer group, regardless of whether the
default route is present in the local routing table for the VPN.
Examples
# In BGP-VPNv4 subaddress family view, advertise a default route for VPN instance vpn1 t o p e er 1.1.1.1.

peer enable (BGP-VPNv4 subaddress family view/BGP-L2VPN
address family view/VPLS address family view)
Use peer enable to enable a peer or peer group for an address family and enable the exchange of BGP
routing information for the address family.
Use undo peer enable to disable the capability.
Syntax
peer { group-name | ip-address } enable
undo peer { group-name | ip-address } enable
Default
Only IPv4 routing information is exchanged between BGP peers/peer groups.

Parameters
group-name: Name of the peer group, a case-sensitive string of 1 to 47 characters.
ip-address: IP address of the peer.
