The HIM-4GBP/HIM-8GBP supports the following types of transceiver modules:
• 100 Mbps SFP transceiver module
• 1000 Mbps SFP transceiver module
• 100/1000 Mbps SFP transceiver module
• 10/100/1000 Mbps SFP copper transceiver modules supporting fiber-to-copper conversion (The
HIM-4GBP/HIM-8GBP supports 10/100/1000 Mbps auto-sensing if used together with a
transceiver module.)
The HIM-4GBP/HIM-8GBP is optional to be separately ordered if needed.
Use transceiver modules provided by HP only. The device might be incompatible with other transceiver
modules.
Interface cable
• When working with SFP transceiver modules, the HIM-4GBP/HIM-8GBP must use optical fibers
with LC-type connectors.
• When working with transceiver modules supporting fiber-to-copper conversion, the
HIM-4GBP/HIM-8GBP uses category-5 straight-through or crossover Ethernet cables when
operating at 10/100 Mbps and uses category-6 cable (recommended) when operating at 1000
Mbps.
