Ethernet OAM debugging commands
The output description tables in this document only contain fields and messages that require an
explanation.
The Ethernet OAM module name is identified as "ETHOAM" in debugging messages.
debugging oam
Use debugging oam to enable Ethernet OAM debugging.
Use undo debugging oam to disable Ethernet OAM debugging.
Syntax
debugging oam { all | critical-event | error | fsm | link-event | packet [ receive | send ] } [ interface
interface-type interface-number ]
undo debugging oam { all | critical-event | error | fsm | link-event | packet [ receive | send ] }
[ interface interface-type interface-number ]
Default
Ethernet OAM debugging is disabled.

Parameters
all: Specifies all types of debugging for Ethernet OAM.
critical-event: Specifies debugging for Ethernet OAM critical link events.
error: Specifies debugging for Ethernet OAM errors.
fsm: Specifies debugging for Ethernet OAM state machines.
link-event: Specifies debugging for Ethernet OAM link events.
packet: Specifies debugging for Ethernet OAM packets.
receive: Specifies debugging for received Ethernet OAM packets.
send: Specifies debugging for sent Ethernet OAM packets.
interface interface-type interface-number: Specifies an interface by its type and number.
Usage guidelines
If both the send keyword and the receive keyword are not specified, the command applies to both sent
packets and received packets.
If an interface is not specified, the command applies to all interfaces of a device.
Table 1 describes output fields and messages for the debugging oam critical-event command.
