Q. Can I use transceiver modules that are not certified by HP on the router?
A. To guarantee the functionality of the ports on the router, use only HP-certified transceiver modules.
Q. What types of MPUs does the router support?
A. The router supports only the MPU RT-RSE-X2.
Q. Does the router provide built-in CF cards or support external CF cards?
A. The router has a built-in 1 GB CF card. You can install a 256 MB, 512 MB, or 1 GB CF card in the router.
Q. Is the CF card on the router hot swappable?
A. Yes. To avoid damage to the file system, execute the umount command to unmount the CF card before you
unplug a CF card.
Q. Does the router support CF cards provided by a third party?
A. No. The router is compatible with CF cards provided only by HP.
Q. What are the types of USB ports on MPUs of the router?
A. The router provides USB2.0 A-type USB ports. The USB ports enable connection to external storage devices
(such as a USB disk) for storage and transfer of files and logs.
Q. What types of USB disks does the router support?
A. The router is compatible with USB disks provided only by HP.
Q. Do all HSR6800 router models support the switching fabric module SFE-X1?
A. No. Only the HSR6808 routers support the SFE-X1.
When the HSR6808 is installed with two MPUs, it provides the following switching capacity:
