patch load
Use patch load to load patches from a storage medium to the patch memory area.
Syntax
In standalone mode:
patch load slot slot-number [ file patch-package ]
In IRF mode:
patch load chassis chassis-number slot slot-number [ file patch-package ]

The router loads patches from the cfa0:/ directory.

Parameters
slot slot-number: Specifies a card by its slot number. (In standalone mode.)
chassis chassis-number slot slot-number: Specifies an MPU on an IRF member device. (In IRF mode.)
file patch-package: Specifies a patch package file.
Usage guidelines
If patches are released in a package, you must use the patch install command to install patches.
Before executing the patch load command, save the patch files to the correct directory.
To change the patch loading location, use the patch location command.
Save the patch files for the active MPU, interface cards, or switching fabric modules to the root directory
of the active MPU's storage medium, and save the patch files for the standby MPU to the root directory
of the standby MPU's storage medium. For a successful upgrade, you must save the patch files to the
chassis that holds the cards to be upgraded.
In FIPS mode, the patch file or the patch package file must pass authenticity verification before the patch
load command is executed.
