Device management commands
Many types of storage media are available, such as CF card and USB disk. Different devices support
different types of storage media. The examples in this command use CF cards.
The slot numbers of the active and standby MPUs in the examples are for illustration only.
card-mode
Use card-mode to set the working mode of an interface card.
Syntax
In standalone mode:
card-mode slot slot-number subslot subslot-number mode-name
In IRF mode:
card-mode chassis chassis-number slot slot-number subslot subslot-number mode-name

Parameters
slot slot-number: Specifies the slot number of an interface card. (In standalone mode.)
chassis chassis-number slot slot-number: Specifies a card on an IRF member device. The chassis-number
argument represents the IRF member ID of the device, and the slot-number argument represents the
number of the slot where the card resides. (In IRF mode.)
subslot subslot-number: Specifies the subslot number of a subcard.
mode-name: Specifies a working mode. This argument might take one of the following values,
depending on the interface card type:
e1–Specifies the E1 mode.
t1–Specifies the T1 mode.
e3–Specifies the E3 mode.
t3–Specifies the T3 mode.
pos–Specifies the POS mode.
e-cpos–Specifies the E-CPOS mode.
oc-3–Specifies the OC-3c/STM-1c mode (155 Mbps).
oc-12–Specifies the OC-12c/STM-4c mode (622 Mbps).
Usage guidelines
To make the newly configured working mode takes effect, restart the device or hot swap the interface
card (if the interface card supports hot swapping).
