Command Remarks
4. Enable alarm signal detection
and generation on the T3
channel.
t3 t3-number set alarm { detect |
generate { ais | febe | idle | rai } }
Optional.
By default, alarm signal detection
and generation are disabled on T3
channels.
5. Enable a bit error rate test
(BERT) of the specified pattern
on the T3 channel.
t3 t3-number set bert pattern { 2^7
| 2^11 | 2^15 | qrss } time
time-number
Optional.
By default, BERT test is disabled.
6. Configure the clock mode of
the T3 channel.
t3 t3-number set clock { master |
slave }
Optional.
Slave by default.
7. Enable FEAC signal detection
and generation on the T3
channel.
t3 t3-number set feac { detect |
generate { ds3-los | ds3-ais |
ds3-oof | ds3-idle | ds3-eqptfail |
loopback { ds3-line |
ds3-payload } } }
Optional.
Disabled by default.
8. Set the framing format of the
T3 interface.
t3 t3-number set frame-format
{ c-bit | m23 }
Optional.
C-bit parity framing by default.
9. Enable loopback of the
specified type on the T3
channel.
t3 t3-number set loopback { local |
payload | remote }
Optional.
Disabled by default.
10. Enable maintenance data link
(MDL) message detection and
sending on the T3 channel.
t3 t3-number set mdl { data { eic
string | fic string | gen-no string |
lic string | pfi string | port-no string
| unit string } | detect | generate
{ idle-signal | path | test-signal } }
Optional.
11. Configure overhead bytes for
VC-3 frames.
flag vc-3 path-number { c2 c2-value
| j1 { sdh sdh-string | sonet
sonet-string } | s1s0 s1s0-value }
Optional.
12. Configure overhead bytes for
VC-4 frames.
flag vc-4 path-number { c2 c2-value
| j1 { sdh sdh-string | sonet
sonet-string } | s1s0 s1s0-value }
Optional.
13. Configure the specified T3
channel to operate in FT3
mode and configure a DSU
mode or subrate for the FT3
channel.
ft3 t3-number { dsu-mode { 0 | 1 |
2 | 3 | 4 } | subrate sub-number }
Optional.
For an FT3 channel, the default
DSU mode is 0 (Digital Link) and
the default subrate is 44210 kbps.
Fractional T3 (FT3, or Subrate T3)
is a nonstandard application. With
FT3, you can subdivide the rate of
T3 into subrates depending on the
bandwidth requirements.
Configuring the working mode of an interface card
Some CPOS cards can be used for multiple purposes. After configuring a different working mode for a
card, you can switch its working mode. For more information about configuring the working mode of an
interface card, see Fundamentals Configuration Guide.
