Configuring multicast VLAN ports
In this method, you configure a VLAN as a multicast VLAN and assign user ports to it. You can do it by
either adding the user ports to the multicast VLAN or specifying the multicast VLAN on the user ports.
These two methods provide the same result.
When you configure multicast VLAN ports, follow these guidelines:
• Do not configure a multicast VLAN on a device with multicast routing enabled.
• The VLAN to be configured as a multicast VLAN must exist.
• A port cannot belong to multiple multicast VLANs.
